President’s Welcome

As the fifth president of Genesee Community College, I am deeply honored to lead this vibrant community at a pivotal time of change and opportunity. Our world is evolving rapidly, driven by technological advances, shifts in the educational and employment landscapes, and new societal challenges that are reshaping our daily lives. At Genesee Community College, we are not only keeping pace with these changes but are committed to leading the way in educational innovation and lifelong learning through our strategic priorities.

Our mission has always been to provide high-quality, accessible education that prepares all students for success in their careers and lives. Today, this mission is more important than ever. We are actively adapting our programs, services, and campus environment to meet the needs of our diverse student population that face many demands in a dynamic and interconnected world. GCC continuously strives to make itself “student ready” for all learners regardless of their educational background and experience.

Throughout my career in higher education, I have witnessed firsthand how life-changing a college education can be. Education has been the pivotal doorway to opportunity for countless individuals to change their trajectory in life, and I am no exception to that opportunity. The profound impact of education is why we at Genesee Community College are dedicated to transforming lives, creating numerous pathways for our students, and being the hub for education in the GLOW region and beyond.
